Time signatures provide us with a template of how to divide and count bars in music. Lets look at how it works.

Excercise
- Set your metronome to ~60bpm or lower.
- Choose a chord to play
- Starting from the top level strum the rhythms in each bar and repeat x4 times before moving down to the next level of rhythms. Continue this process all the way down the tree.
- Once you have reached the bottom level repeat the same process as above this time from bottom to top level.
